Kalia Scholarship 2024 (Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation) is a unique initiative of Odisha Government whose main objective is to provide financial support to the son or daughter of Small and Marginal Farmers in education mainly in vocational and technical courses. Applicants can apply for this scholarship scheme through the scholarship.odisha.gov.in portal.

Kalia Yojana and Kalias Scholarship are complementary to each other as the benefits of Kalia Scholarship can be taken only by those who are already the beneficiary of Kalia Yojana. The online application process is already started from January 9, 2024. Interested candidates can apply through the official portal till January 31, 2024.

Kalia Scholarship 2024

Through this remarkable Kalia Scholarship Scheme of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, Government of Orissa, the son or daughter of small and marginal farmers families will get educational assistance in pursuing professional and technical courses like Medical, Engineering, Agriculture, Allied Science, Nursing, Diploma and various vocational courses like ITI. The scholarship covers tuition fees, one-time admission fees, and hostel fees. Under this scholarship scheme the above educational expences are directly transferred to the student’s bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode. Who is Eligible For Kalia Scholarship?

• This scholarship scheme is only for Odisha residence.
• Applicant must be from small farmers, landless farmers, and agricultural cultivator’s family.
• KALIA Yojana beneficiarie’s son or daughter are eligible to apply.
• Applicant’s admission should be in a government or recognized institution with the AISHE code.
• Applicant who take the admissions with self-financing are not eligible to apply.
• Only one scholarship are allowed at a time. So applicant can’t take 2 scholarship benefits at a time.
• NRI quota can’t apply for this scholarship.
