PM Kisan New Farmer Registration scheme’s portal is pmkisan.gov.in. The scheme is actually a central sector scheme known as Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi whose main objective is to provide financial support to small and marginal farmers who have cultivable land across the country. The scheme is launched in February 2019. The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme acts as a supplement to the financial support for the land holding farmers.
In 2024, Interested small and marginal new farmers can complete their registration process for this scheme online at pmkisan.gov.in or through CSC portal and avail the benefits of this scheme.
PM Kisan New Farmer Registration 2024
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is an important initiative of Government of India through which small and marginal farmers will get Rs.6000 annually in three installments through Direct Benefit Transfer mode in their bank account. Beneficiary will get Rs 2,000 in each installment. But for that, farmers must complete the registration process of the scheme and have cultivable land and necessary documents as eligibility criteria. If the applicant is a farmer, has cultivable land and necessary documents, they can participate in the PM Kisan scheme and the New Farmer registration process by visiting the pmkisan.gov.in portal and if the application is approved, they can avail the benefits of this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria for a New Farmer Registration
- Applicant don’t have any Institutional land. If applicant have Institutional land then he/she can’t apply.
- Small and marginal farmers having cultivable land can participate in this scheme.
- Government employees including retired government employees are not eligible to participate in this scheme except of Multitasking Staff, Group D Staff, or Class IV employees.
- Applicants who previously or currently hold any constitutional post are not eligible to participate in this scheme.
- If the applicant is an income tax payer then he/she cannot avail the benefit of this scheme.
- Retired person whose monthly pension is Rs.10,000 or more will not be eligible to participate in this scheme except for multi-tasking staff, group d staff and class IV employees.

How to Do the PM Kisan New Farmer Registration Online?
To complete the PM Kisan online registration, you have to visit the official portal and then you have to submit necessary details. The process is as follows
- Visit the portal https://pmkisan.gov.in.
- Navigate to “New Farmer Registration.”
- Now new farmer registration form will open.
- First select Rural Farmer registration or Urban Farmer Registration according to your land’s location.
- Now enter applicant’s Aadhaar number, aadhaar registered mobile number, select state, solve captcha and Click on get OTP option.
- After that you will receive OTP (4 digit) in your aadhar registered phone number.
- Simply submit the OTP
- Now enter personal details of the applicant such as District, Block, village, Type of farmer, Farmer category, Ragistration number of the land etc
- Select and add Land holding owners
- Enter additional Land information like Area of the land, khata no of your land, status of land transfer, khasra no etc and submit the application.
After that a unique farmer ID will generate.
How to Do PM Kisan Status check in 2024?
Checking the new farmer registration status in the financial year 2024 is very important for an applicant. Because through the status check process a farmer can know whether his application has been approved or not. The steps are as follows.
