SSP Scholarship Scheme 2023-24
The SSP scholarship portal is ssp.karnataka.gov.in. The scheme is given to SC, ST, OBC, and other backward class category students. This scholarship is divided by two parts one is the Pre Matric scholarship and the other is the Post Matric scholarship. SSP scholarship scheme 2023-24 Eligibility
Applicant must check the eligibility criteria before apply. Lets check the eligibility criteria.
- Student must be a resident of Karnataka
- student’s annual family income must be below 2.5 lakh for SC, ST and OBC category 1 below 2.5 lakh and other OBC below 1 lakh
- SC/ST students want to do higher studies for department of technical, medical, Collegiate Education, Ayush, the annual family income will be between 2.5 lakh to 10 lakh.
- For EWS category Brahmin students the annual family income would be below 8 lakh.
- For pre-matric scholarship students need students SATS ID
- For SSP post-matric scholarship students need KUTUMBA ID
- Student’s academic details must be available on the UUCMS portal or the UNIDATA server
Required Documents
Here is the list of required documents to apply for the scholarship. These documents are mandatory during the application process.
- Students have to obtain their own Aadhaar card. You have to remember that your Aadhaar card name’s spelling should be the same as your school/university mark sheet or document’s name.
- If you don’t have Aadhaar, then you can use an EID number.

The registration process is done in two ways. As there are pre-matric and post-matric scholarships, the registration process is slightly different in this case.
Registration For Pre Matric Scholarship
- students have to first create an account by going to the @ ssp.Karnataka.gov.in website. Then they can apply for the scholarship.
- Then they have to complete the registration process with all the required information like student’s SATS ID,
- student have to fill the online registration process with mobile number
- They have to provide the income certificate of their family
- Then category certificate number
- For Brahmin students, EWS certificate number is required. This applies to pre-matric scholarships.
After completing the registration process student can log in via user id and password and then they can apply.
Registration For Post Matric Scholarship
- Registration in KUTUMBA portal for KUTUMBA ID is required for this scholarship application process. If you don’t have KUTUMBA id then you can read the below KUTUMBA id application process.
- Now you have to enter your Aadhaar details because the scholarship amount will be deposited to the Aadhaar seeded bank account
- Aadhaar number is also required to authenticate with UIDAI database, KUTUMBA database and academic details fetching purpose with UUCMS and UNIDATA database.
- After entering your name you have to proceed to the next step which is family details
- Now you have to enter the details of your family member with relation status like father name, mother name etc and their Aadhaar card details and RC number.
- After that you have to enter your mobile number and email id. You’ll get OTP at your mobile number
- Now you have to create a password that would be minimum 8 to maximum 15 characters long. The password should contain at least one Uppercase, one lowercase, one digit and one special character. Now you have to submit it.
- Log in user id and password will be sent to the registered mobile number.
- Now you can apply for the scholarship at @ ssp.postmatric.karnataka.gov.in with this credential.
KUTUMBA ID In English
KUTUMBA id is actually a family id. without KUTUMBA ID the applying process is not possible. Not only for SSP scholarship, for almost all Karnataka government schemes, the KUTUMBA ID is required. The Kutumba in karnataka id generating process is completed by 6 steps.
- Step 1, You have to visit the official KUTUMBA website ‘https://kutumba.karnataka.gov.in‘
- Step 2, You have to enter your Aadhaar details with OTP via UIDAI authentication
- Step 3, Now you have to submit your full details
- Step 4, You have to add your family member’s details
- Step 5, Now SPOC (Single Point Of Contact) means you have to select the adult or head of the family for contact purpose
- Step 6, Submit application, verify and get the Kutumba id in Karnataka state
Note: You’ll get an instant Kutumba id in karnataka which is a temporary id. KUTUMBA In Karnataka Eligibility
- You must be a resident of Karnataka state
- You need all Aadhaar cards of your family members for registration
- Mobile number must be linked with Aadhaar card

- Date of birth certificate
- SSLC mark sheet
- Residential address of all family members
- The head of the family will be the main person for all communication purpose (SPOC)

How To Apply KUTUMBA ID For SSP Scholarship

- You have to visit kutumba.karnataka.gov.in for the enrollment process
- After visiting the official site, you have to select Enroll your family in KUTUMBA
- A new tab will open, now click on “NEXT”
- Now EKYC service tab will open. You can see department, application, purpose of the KUTUMBA application details. Here you have to enter the Aadhaar card number.
- There after you have to select the authentication mode like OTPs
- Now select Generate OTP and you have to submit the otp.
- After that, the family member’s information will be displayed
- You have to check the location information
- You can also add members
- Now you have to upload all the necessary documents like DOB / SSLC mark sheet or marital document
- Now you have to carefully fill all the necessary details like relationship, address etc
- After completing the enrollment process of all family members, you will be redirected to the CDAC portal for the e-Sign process.
- For e-sign, you have to provide aadhaar id number and the OTP
- Now submit the OTP and you can check the e-signed enrollment details.
After that, if you belong to a rural area then the PDO will verify your details and if you belong to the urban area then a revenue officer will verify the details.

- You have to visit the https://kutumba-services.karnataka.gov.in/kutumbaservices/
- Now you can use any ID type to check the KUTUMBA ID.
- The supported ids are ration card, Aadhaar card, SATS ID, Pension no, fruits Id etc

Why was the scholarship not received/ sanctioned in 2023?
There may be various reasons for the non-receipt or sanction of the scholarship.
- Your Income certificate and caste certificate may not have been issued by the revenue department.
- Suppose you are a hosteler but you have not given the HMIS id as a hosteler while filling out the scholarship form.
- When you filled out the form, you typed your parents’ Aadhaar ID number wrongly.
- You typed different/wrong SATS Id, board or university registration number, nsp id by mistake.
- You may upload the wrong or low resolution documents
So we can say that there can be various reasons behind not receiving the scholarship or sanctioned of a scholarship. Maybe you have done all the steps correctly. But your scholarship is not sanctioned. So it’s better to check the SSP scholarship status first. Just confirm everything is fine and not rejected.
