PM YASASVI Scholarship Scheme 2023-24 known as Prime Minister Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India which provides financial assistance for education to students belonging to OBC, EBC, and DNT category. Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has launched this centrally sponsored scheme for OBC, EBC and DNT students which will greatly help the students in their educational progress. The scholarship allowance ranges from Rs 4000 to Rs 20,000 for pre-matric to professional courses.
The feature of this scheme is socio economic development. Students can apply in this scheme through the NSP portal (scholarships.gov.in). The registration and apply process has started on 11st July 2023 at yet.nta.ac.in but now students can only apply through the National Scholarship Portal.
PM YASASVI Scholarship 2023-24
To apply for the PM YASASVI Scholarship Scheme 2023-2024, the student first had to go to the yet.nta.ac.in portal to complete the registration and apply process. But now students can only apply through scholarship.gov.in portal. The main components of this scheme are Pre-Matric Scholarship, Post-Matric Scholarship, Top Class School Education, Top Class College Education and Hostel Construction for OBC Students. Through this scholarship scheme only the students belonging to OBC, EBC and DNT category will have the opportunity to get its benefits and Selected student in Pre-matric category will get Rs 4000, student studying in class 11 and class 12 will get Rs 5000, and group 1 professional course’s students will get Rs 20,000 as an academic allowance.. However, the annual family income must be below Rs 2.5 lakh.

Eligibility of PM YASASVI Scholarship
Students must know the eligibility criteria for pre-matric, post matric, top class school education or top class college education before applying on NSP portal.
- Student must be a citizen of India.
- Only OBC, EBC, DNT category students can apply.
- For pre-matric scholarship, student’s school must be a government school.
- For post-matric scholarship, student’s institute or college must have AISHE or UDISE Code.
- Students studying Intermediate, Secondary, Diploma, Vocational, Graduate, Post-Graduate courses from a recognized university or board are eligible to apply.
- Student’s annual family income must be below Rs 2.5 lakh.
- Full time course’s students can apply.
- Student must have an income certificate.
- Student’s higher education colleges must have NAAC or NBA accreditation (Before 2024)
- Student’s college or institution must have aadhaar based attendance facility.
- State or district authorities issued freeship card must be honoured by student’s education institutes or colleges.
- Under this scheme, a student can only hold one scholarship.
PM YASASVI Scholarship Registration Process
To complete the registration process, you have to visit the National Scholarship portal. Lets check the registration process.
- Visit the National Scholarship portal scholarships.gov.in
- Go to Applicant Corner then New Registration.
- Read the guidelines/instructions and select continue
- Select I have aadhaar. If you have EID number instead of aadhaar then you can also select EID. But if you don’t have any aadhaar card then select I don’t have aadhaar.
- Now complete the aadhaar authentication with OTP
- Solve captcha code then verify
- Check the CIDR data as per aadhaar.
- Select scholarship type and category, parent’s name, email, domicile, and again solve captcha.
- Aadhaar seeded bank acount is mandatory for DBT purposes so check NPCI Mapper status.
- Select the register option.
- Finally you will get the National scholarship portal’s registration number.
- You will get your password in your phone number.
PM YASASVI Scholarship Apply
With login credentials a student can login to the NSP portal and apply for the scholarship scheme. The process are as follows
- Go to the NSP portal scholarships.gov.in
- Select Fresh application
- Now Login with application id and password
- Provide general information like name of the applicant, father’s name, category of the student, student’s annual family income etc
- Now enter your academic details like
- Institute selection through AISHE or UDISE Code.
- Present course
- Registration number
- Previous final result
- Competitive exam qualified, exam date, roll number and conducted by (Mandatory for NMMS)
- Present year admission information
- Student’s institute,college or board details
- Class 10 and 12 academic details etc
- You have to provide additional information like Gurdian name, PH details (if applicable), profession of your parents, marital status, etc.
- Select Save and continue
- Provide contact details
- Check scheme details.
- Upload required documents
- Submit the application.
- Take a Print out of your application form.
